Gillray’s Steakhouse & Bar launches its “Live From” monthly music nights, showcasing the hottest new music talent that is about to break on to our screens and our playlists, on Thursday 9th August with rising stars Ilona and new duo Verity and Violet.
Fresh from launching the Michelle Obama and Hilary Clinton charity ‘Walk A Mile’ with Dave Stewart, up and coming singing sensation Ilona, who has recently toured alongside Newton Faulkner, The Dunwells (HMV’s Nest Big Thing) and Ed Sheeran, will be performing a live acoustic set.
Ilona’s modern twist on country music has led critics to liken her to Shania Twain, Karen Carpenter, Adele and even Sheryl Crow. However it is her eclectic and unique sound that has got her noticed. BBC London described Ilona as “a voice that sounds like a blend of the greatest singers of the last 30 years in one person”.
Originally from Bulgaria, but based in the UK for the past 9 years, Ilona has had a life that makes her unlike many others. With a rich blend of backgrounds and influences to draw on, combined with her passion for music and language. Ilona’s inimitable tone and her undeniable ability to tell a story through music has the power to leave audiences totally mesmerized.
Inspired by their passion for music and fashion – combined with their experience in the world of song, dance and drama – Verity & Violet have mixed all of the above into a cocktail, shaken and served with an extra shot of class.
With Gillray’s as the setting, viewers are in for an exclusive night of chic entertainment, fine dining and an atmosphere oozing sheer sophistication.
“Live From Gillray’s” starts from 9 – 11pm on 9th August. Entrance is free for all guests –arrive early to avoid disappointment!
