CONSULTING OFF TO A £500K FLIER
Top consumer PR consultancy Mason Williams has celebrated its 20th birthday
by launching MW Consulting to offer a wider range of services.
“
We kept getting asked more and more for a high level of consultancy work
in business areas outside our traditional consumer comfort zone,” commented
John Williams. “ Eventually the penny dropped that we should stop saying
no and just get on with it.
“
We’ve hired some of the best people in this field to spearhead the
new initiative and it’s already paying dividends for us. We are running
MW Consulting out of the Manchester office at first but we already have our
first London client. Altogether we’ve generated about £500k of
annual income in about six weeks.”
Clients include a pay roll company seeking to minimise the effect of changes
to the sector in the Chancellor’s pre-budget speech, a manufacturer
of cigarette lighters aware of the threat of potential up-coming legislation,
a leading hospital trust and an architectural services company looking to
expand both in the UK and internationally.

It is a real challenge for us to establish ourselves in a whole new area,” said
John Williams. “MW Consulting becomes the fourth arm of the holding
Muse Group joining our existing consumer pr offers and our new technology
division which designs and builds web sites, provides search engine optimisation
and brand protection on line and is leading the rush into mobile search.”
